Adding funds in your Millennial Showcase account

What are the different ways to place funds on my Millennial Showcase Mastercard?

Is there a minimum load amount?
There is no minimum load amount for direct deposit, or Mastercard rePower®. The minimum load amount for an ACH transfer is $20.
How do I load using ACH from my checking or savings account?
To get started, log in to the Millennial Showcase mobile app, and select “Add Money,” then “Bank Transfer.” Enter the bank account information you would like to load from. Millennial Showcase will send two trial deposits to your bank account to verify it was entered correctly. Check your bank account after two to three days to find the trial deposits. When you find them, return to the Millennial Showcase app or website and click on “Verify Funding Source”. Enter the trial deposit amounts in the two fields provided (the order doesn’t matter). Once you’re finished, you will be able to load with ACH using Quick Transfer any time from the app or website.
How long do I have to verify a funding account?
The trial deposits are valid for 45 days from the date you add the funding account. After 45 days, or if you enter the amounts incorrectly 3 times, you will have to remove the funding account and start over.
How do I set up Direct Deposit?

Log into the mobile app or website and select “Add Money,” then “Direct Deposit.” You will be able to see the bank routing number and your specific card account number.

You can provide the routing and account number associated with your card account to your employer or another entity who pays you. You can deposit all or any portion of your payroll amount to your Millennial Showcase account, on a recurring basis; however, direct deposits cannot exceed the maximum card account balance limit. You can also use this information to receive funds owed to you by the U.S. government, such as a tax return or Social Security.

How can I find a Mastercard rePower® participating location?

Using Your Millennial Showcase Mastercard

Where can I use my Millennial Showcase Mastercard?
You can use the card to purchase goods and services everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted, withdraw cash at all participating ATMs, and pay bills.
Can the Millennial Showcase Mastercard be used for PIN purchases?
Yes, you can use the Millennial Showcase Mastercard for PIN purchases. If the merchant's terminal can accept PIN, choose the debit option. You will then be prompted to enter your PIN.
Can the Millennial Showcase Mastercard be used for signature purchases?
Yes. If the merchant's terminal accepts credit, select the credit option. You will be asked for your signature, and will not be asked for your PIN. Please note that your card is still a reloadable prepaid card, and can only be used for the funds available on your card account. Selecting credit only changes the way the card processes. It does not change your card type, and we will not extend you credit.
Can I use the Millennial Showcase Mastercard for online purchases?
Yes. You may use your virtual card account number or your physical card number for online purchases. Please note that your virtual card will no longer work after you activate your physical card. Please make sure you enter the correct billing information, including your name and the address on file with Millennial Showcase, or the transaction may be declined. Please note that the Millennial Showcase Mastercard cannot be used for online gambling.
How do I find my virtual card account number?
Your virtual card number can be found under “Manage Millennial Showcase” section. There will be an option to “reveal” your virtual card number. You will be prompted to provide a second level of security (Touch ID or app PIN code). Upon successfully doing so, your virtual card account details will be shown. Please note that your virtual card number will be deactivated when you activate your physical card. Please use your physical card number only after you have activated it.
What happens when I return something I bought with my Millennial Showcase Mastercard?
Any refund for goods or services purchased with the Card Account will be made in the form of a credit to the Card. While most merchants settle these at night this may vary depending on the merchant, verify with the merchant when you should expect to see a credit. Typically, a credit from a return should reflect on your Card Account within a few business days.
How can I withdraw cash with my card?
You can use your card and PIN to withdraw cash at any ATM that displays the Mastercard, the Maestro or Accel/Exchange name or logo. Some Mastercard merchants also will allow you to receive cash back when you use your card and PIN to make a purchase.
Are there limits on purchases or other withdrawals?
Millennial Showcase Account Transaction Limits
Daily limit for transactions to obtain cash from a Mastercard, Maestro or Accel/Exchange ATM $300 per 24 hour period
Daily limit for cash back from POS register/Mastercard merchants $75 per 24 hour period, 5 withdrawals per 24 hour period
Aggregate limit for all transactions, including all Cash Withdrawals, Transfers, Bill Payments, and Card Purchases $2,500 per 24 hour period
Do I have the option to request overdrafts on my card?
No. In the US, reloadable prepaid account programs are subject to regulatory controls which do not allow for the card accounts to be overdrawn.
Do some merchants get authorization to charge more than the actual amount of a purchase?

As with any card program, when the Millennial Showcase Mastercard is used for certain kinds of transactions, the merchant accepting the card may request advance authorization of that transaction, and may estimate the amount of the transaction. This is usually because the final purchase amount is not known at the time you present your card. For example:

  • Gas Stations will accept the Millennial Showcase Mastercard to prepay for fuel inside the station, but "pay at the pump" purchases may be authorized for an amount greater than the gas purchase.

  • Restaurants, hotels, and car rental agencies may get authorization for an estimated purchase amount, rather than the actual purchase amount.

What is an Authorization Hold?
An “Authorization Hold” is a temporary hold on the funds available on your card for the amount of that authorized transaction. An Authorization Hold generally will be released within 3 business days after the date we authorized that transaction. However, certain merchants, especially rental car companies, hotels and others that authorize high dollar amounts may cause an Authorization Hold to remain in effect for up to 30 days. You can see each Authorization Hold on the funds available on your card at any time by calling 1-866-239-2008 or logging in to the Millennial Showcase website. Certain transactions may be handled differently by different merchants. If you are unsure of a merchant's policy, it's best to ask before presenting your card.

No. You can have alerts sent to only one mobile phone number. Standard text message rates, fees and charges may apply.
What's the difference between my pending transactions and posted transactions shown on the Millennial Showcase mobile app or website?
With a pending transaction, the transaction has been authorized for a specific amount, but that transaction has not been submitted for final settlement. The funds are still in your card account, but are reserved and cannot be used. With a posted transaction, the transaction has been submitted and cleared for payment to the merchant, and the amount of the transaction has been deducted from the funds available on your Millennial Showcase Mastercard.
Does Millennial Showcase support Masterpass?
No, Masterpass is currently unavailable on the Millennial Showcase Mastercard.
Can I add my Millennial Showcase Mastercard account to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay?

Millennial Showcase Dashboard

What are the categories on the Millennial Showcase dashboard?
The dashboard will show you your available balance, and how much Millennial Showcase allocates to be spent on Bills, Budgets and Goals. The dashboard will also indicate what portion of your card account balance can be considered as “Spare Cash.” “Spare Cash” is not additional funds, but the portion of your money that has not been allotted for another spending category. It is an estimate of money that is available to you and on-hand. Changes in future income and expenses will affect the actual amount that you can consider “spare.”

How do Bills work?
Millennial Showcase offers the feature of indicating (or marking) a transaction as a recurring bill, or manually adding a bill that you have to pay. The Millennial Showcase app will track when each bill is due, and update your dashboard letting you know how much money is being put aside to for your bills.
Why should I mark transactions as bills?
Marking transactions as bills allows Millennial Showcase to track when the bill is due and keep your money management on track. Using the mobile app or website, you can mark a transaction as a bill, and set how often it occurs and when it is due.
If I manually set up a Bill on Millennial Showcase, does it get automatically paid?
No, you still have to pay the bill, although you may be able to set up automatic recurring payments with the merchant if they allow it. After you’ve used your Millennial Showcase Mastercard to pay the bill, use the app or website to mark it paid and your dashboard information will update accordingly.
What does “Money to Bills” mean?
Money to Bills on the dashboard of the website or mobile app tells you how much of your current balance needs to be allocated for upcoming bills.

How does budgeting work?
The Millennial Showcase budgeting component will track your purchases based on budget category. If you choose, upon your initial use of the card account, we will track your transactions for the first 30 days. After those 30 days, we will automatically create budget categories and amounts based upon those transactions. You will always have the opportunity to edit (add/delete/change) the budget categories, and change the suggested budget amounts. Using the intelligence within the Millennial Showcase system, we will proactively keep you informed when you’re spending within your budget, or spending at a rate that is below or above your estimated budget.
Will my Millennial Showcase Mastercard get declined if I go over budget?
No, we don’t decline transactions based on budgets. The budgeting display is informational and doesn’t affect your ability to make purchases within your available card account balance. However, the money allocated towards your goals has been set aside and is not part of your available balance.
What does “Money to Budgets” mean?
Money to Budgets on the dashboard on the website or mobile app tells you how much of your current balance we expect you to spend based on your budget settings.

What are the Goals I see in the website and app?
You can set goals to automatically start saving money towards a larger purchase. Using the Millennial Showcase app or website, you set up a goal for us to automatically transfer an amount from your available balance towards the goal as frequently as you would like. While the funds are being held for the goal, they won’t be part of your available balance.
Are the Goals funds in a savings account?
No, the funds are still in your reloadable prepaid card account. Millennial Showcase just removes them from your available balance so you don’t spend them. You can move them out of your goals balance and back into your available balance at any time.
How do I get the funds from goals back into my available balance?
You can transfer the funds out of goals back to your available balance at any time using the mobile app or website.
What does “Money to Goals” mean?
Money to Goals on the dashboard on the Millennial Showcase website and mobile app shows how much of your current balance is scheduled to be automatically moved to your upcoming goals.

Spare Cash

What is “Spare Cash”?
Spare Cash is a feature that provides you with the guidance you need to help you effectively and simply manage your money. The amount indicated as your Spare Cash is, very simply, money that resides in your Millennial Showcase account, but isn’t allocated towards any current Budget, Bill, or Goal. With this information, you will know at any given time how much of your funds you can use for whatever you want – whether it be buying something that you budget to buy, saving more money, or even paying a little bit more against your bills. If the amount shown for Spare Cash is zero – the intelligence within the Millennial Showcase system is guiding you by indicating that you do not have enough funds in your Millennial Showcase account to cover your upcoming Bills, Goals, and expected Budget spending; allowing you to adjust one or more of the categories appropriately.
